On a lark, I dropped off a hastily compiled photojournalism portfolio of my best shots of 2008 for the Press Photographers Association of Greater Los Angeles’ student PJ of the year competition.
It was comprised mostly of the work I did on the California wildfires in October.

I just found out, via email, that I’m a finalist.
Award dinner in early April. Pretty exciting.
(Update: 2nd place isn’t so bad)
